The Four Elements of a Perfect Cup
Posted by Figaro Cafe Mystic on 23rd Oct 2026
Every cup of coffee is a small act of nature. Four elements stand between a cherry on a mountainside and the cup in your hands — and Figaro Cafe Mystic is built on all four.
Earth — the origin.
Soil, seed and the depth of a grounded roast. Our Typica beans grow at 1,200 meters and above in the mountains of Haiti, in Saint-Louis-du-Nord, where slow ripening builds deep, natural sugars.
Water — the extraction.
The force that opens the flavor and carries it forward. Too hot and it scorches; too fast and it misses the soul of the bean. Give your pour a moment — the bloom is where the magic starts.
Fire — the transformation.
Heat, craft and the character built during roasting. In Haiti, coffee is still roasted by hand, over fire, in small batches — watched by eye and by nose, the way it has been done for generations. That's how we roast today.
Air — the aroma.
That first fragrant moment before the cup touches your lips. Close your eyes for it. It's not a metaphor — it's the first taste, arriving early.
Earth grows it. Water opens it. Fire transforms it. Air announces it. That's not just our logo — it's the recipe.
